History of the City
Between 1923 and 1925, the Tatum Brothers subdivided the land on Surfside. From 1929 to 1930, Russell Pancoast built the Surf Club on 90th Street and Collins Avenue.
Furthermore, in 1933, fearing annexation by the city of Miami Beach, 35 members of the Surf Club incorporated the Town of Surfside.
